The 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show concluded on June 8th at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao'an). Covering around 260,000 square meters, the nine-day show drew approximately 890,000 visitors. A total of 42,823 vehicles were booked, amounting to a sales value of about 10.07 billion yuan. Smart technologies took center stage, with a range of new models unveiled, including the launch of the ZunJie S800 and the debut of Xiaomi SU7, showcasing diverse product strategies.

BYD Group featured a dedicated pavilion highlighting its technological ecosystem. The "Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance" participated independently for the first time, fostering industrial chain synergy. A special exhibition zone titled the "Future Mobility Space Station" demonstrated an integrated air-ground mobility ecosystem, displaying a variety of flying vehicles and safety technologies.

During the concurrent 2025 Future Vehicle Pioneers Conference, the Intelligent Connected Vehicles Commercialization and Innovation Forum released China's first technical guideline for road access featuring "full urban coverage, all-vehicle compatibility, and multi-scenario application." The guideline outlines evaluation principles and scope, aiming to establish benchmarks for testing and demonstration.

At the venue, carmakers adopted innovative approaches to engage users. Celebrities such as Andy Lau, a Hong Kong actor; Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's Consumer Business Group, and Bai Jingting, a Chinese actor, interacted with audiences, while TVB actors appeared at the YangWang booth. With cross-sector integration as a key theme, the upgraded iHome? concept space and the outdoor performance area showcased super truck stunts. Three new vehicles were launched by the co-created X-SPEED Dream Factory with Shenzhen Technology University. Cultural experiences were rich and diverse, with appearances by badminton star Lin Dan, a "fun corridor" for children, and themed crossover zones. The test drive area offered various road scenarios for visitors to fully experience the charm of different models.

Leveraging the advantages of the GBA, Shenzhen is advancing the development of four major automotive hubs in its bid to build a "new-generation world-class auto city," continually empowering innovation in the automotive industry.
