Organized by the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and supported by the University of Saint Joseph in Macao, an exchange event for entrepreneurs from Macao and Hengqin recently took place in Hong Kong. A delegation of 40 participants, including business representatives from over ten high-tech enterprises in Hengqin, along with faculty members and students from the University of Saint Joseph, visited the Hong Kong Science Park and various universities.
The objective of this exchange is to help enterprises stay informed about cutting-edge technological advancements, establish a platform for connecting businesses with universities, and enhance cooperation in research and development across Hong Kong, Macao, and Hengqin.
During the visit, the delegation toured the exhibition hall and incubation center at the Hong Kong Science Park, gaining insights into incubation facilities, the latest trends in innovation and technology, and successful models for translating academic research into practical applications. They also engaged in face-to-face discussions with local tech representatives and alumni from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Some participants said that the event provided valuable insights into the operational models and growth strategies of international enterprises in Hong Kong, offering guidance for overseas investments and market expansion. Academics also expressed that the exchange allowed them to understand the latest developments in Hong Kong's tech industry, facilitating dialogue with local businesses and promoting collaboration between universities and industries.
Since the beginning of this year, Hengqin has hosted multiple exchange activities among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, receiving enthusiastic responses from the industry.
